Beach and Surf Patrol update: the flag status has been changed to YELLOW, today, November 1, 2019. We’re moving back  in the right direction. Next stop Green!

Always remember that you have to check the actual flag at the beach before entering the water!  Remember to always swim with caution and, an absence of flags DOES NOT mean the water is safe.

Depending on what end of the beach they start on, it can sometimes be a few hours before the flags are changed on this end of the beach.

Beach and Surf Patrol  has sent out a Halloween flag status update: Unfortunately the flags are not Orange 🙁 but are now Single RED today, October 31, 2019. We’ll update our status the next time Beach and Surf Patrol report a change in flag color. Always remember to verify the actual flag at the beach before entering the water!

There have been at least 10 drownings so far in 2019. Always be careful and respect the warning flags.

It can sometimes be a few hours before the flags are changed on this end of the beach, depending on which end of the beach they start updating the flags.

With a Single Red flag, the Beach & Surf Patrol will not force you to leave the water, but the water is hazardous at Single Red, so keep the kids and weak swimmers out of the water, and exercise an abundance of caution.

Always swim with caution and remember, an absence of flags doesn’t mean the water is safe.

Double RED Flags in Effect

Beach and Surf Patrol have sent a flag status update: Flags are now DOUBLE RED today, October 26, 2019. We’ll update our status the next time Beach and Surf Patrol report a change in flag color. Always remember to verify the actual flag at the beach before entering the water!

It can sometimes be a few hours before the flags are changed on this end of the beach, depending on which end of the beach they start updating the flags.

DOUBLE RED is extremely dangerous and should be strictly observed. There have been at least 10 drownings so far in 2019. Always be careful and respect the warning flags. This is no joke! Please stay out of the water during DOUBLE RED condition!!!
