Beach and Surf Patrol sent a flag status update. Flags are now Single RED today, April 25, 2019. We’re moving in the wrong direction! Summer is coming…. we need some green flags! We’ll update our status the next time Beach and Surf Patrol report a change in flag color. Always remember to verify the actual flag at the beach before entering the water!
Depending on what end of the beach they start on, it can sometimes be a few hours before the flags are changed on this end of the beach.
With a Single Red flag, the Beach & Surf Patrol will not force you to leave the water, but the water is hazardous at Single Red, so keep the kids and weak swimmers out of the water, and exercise an abundance of caution.
Always swim with caution and remember, an absence of flags doesn’t mean the water is safe.
