Beach and Surf Patrol have sent a beach flag status update today, August 28, 2023. Panama City beach flags are still Yellow. They changed to yellow 8.13.23.
Always remember that you have to check the actual flag at the beach before entering the water! Remember to always swim with caution and, an absence of flags DOES NOT mean the water is safe.
Depending on what end of the beach they start on, it can sometimes be a few hours before the flags are changed on this end of the beach.
Heat Warning & Cooling Center
We also received a phone alert from Bay County on 8/21/23 concerning a high heat warning and informing us that the cooling center is open from 12-5 Tuesday 8/22 through Thursday 8/24/2023. More info on that can be found on the Bay County Website here »
