Double RED Flags in Effect
We just received an update that the Beach and Surf Patrol report the Beach Flags are changing to DOUBLE RED today, August 1, 2018. The gulf is closed.
We’ll update our flag notice the next time the Beach and Surf Patrol issue a change in flag status. Always remember to check the actual flag at the beach before entering the water.
Depending on what end of the beach they start on, it can sometimes be a few hours before the flags are changed on this end of the beach.
With a DOUBLE Red flag, STAY OUT OF THE WATER!
An absence of flags doesn’t mean the water is safe.
