The Water is Closed to the Public!
Beach and Surf Patrol have sent a beach flag status update today, June 20, 2024. Panama City beach flags are still Double Red. This means the water is closed to the public. Stay on dry sand. They turned double red on June 18th, 2024.
Important Things to Remember!
- Always check the actual flag at the beach before entering the water!
- Always swim with caution!
- An absence of flags DOES NOT mean the water is safe!
- Depending on what end of the beach they start on, it can sometimes be a few hours before the flags are changed on this end of the beach, so if you aren’t sure, check multiple beach flag sources! (See below)
