Beach and Surf Patrol have sent a beach flag status update today, June 14, 2024. Panama City beach flags are still Yellow. The flags changed to yellow June 13th 2024. The ‘iframe’ provided by the Beach and Surf Patrol and PCB still show the flags as being Yellow AND Purple, but when you check the beach cam at Sandpiper Beacon, only the Yellow flag is flying. SOOOOO….regardless, always remember that you have to check the actual flag at the beach before entering the water! Remember to always swim with caution and, an absence of flags DOES NOT mean the water is safe.
Depending on what end of the beach they start on, it can sometimes be a few hours before the flags are changed on this end of the beach.
