Double RED Flags in Effect
The Beach and Surf Patrol reports that the Beach Flags are pushed up to DOUBLE RED today, June 19, 2019. The gulf is closed. Stay out of the water! Sorry, vacationers! Break out the board games and puzzles!
We’ll update our flag notice the next time the Beach and Surf Patrol issue a change in flag status. On the bright side … it can only get better! Always remember to check the actual flag at the beach before entering the water.
Depending on what end of the beach they start on, it can sometimes be a few hours before the flags are changed on this end of the beach.
With a DOUBLE Red flag, STAY OUT OF THE WATER!
An absence of flags doesn’t mean the water is safe.
