The Bay County Audubon Society is hosting a Bird Walk at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, September 11 at the Panama City Beach Conservation Park, just west of State Road 70 and north of Panama City Beach Parkway. The address is 100 Conservation Drive.
Participants are asked to bring a mask, binoculars, hand sanitizer, insect repellent, sunscreen, and snacks and drinks for yourself only. The group will have binoculars for those who do not have their own.
This is an easy walk of approximately 2.5 miles up and back. Although the road is a dirt road, it is wide and wheelchair accessible. This is an ideal experience for beginning birders. Participants are asked to meet in the parking area by the restrooms.
Note: Due to the ongoing COVID-19/Delta Variant Pandemic, the Bay County Audubon Society field trips will follow the latest recommended guidelines. If you are immunocompromised or have serious medical problems, you may not want to participate. If you have a fever, cough or other symptoms, please stay home. Vaccines are strongly recommended. Masks are also strongly recommended, at least for the first part of the trip where participants gather to start their hike.
The group walk is limited to 10 people. There may be several groups depending on the number of participants.
