Beach and Surf Patrol has sent out a text that the Beach Flags are still YELLOW today, December 11, 2018. I’m not sure if I recall them sending out an update with the same status as a previous update before. Maybe they have a minimum update frequency they have to follow? Maybe I’ll investigate. In the meantime we’ll keep an eye out for the next flag status update from Beach and Surf Patrol and post it right away!
Always remember that you have to check the actual flag at the beach before entering the water! So far in 2018 there have been 8 drownings in PCB, so remember to always swim with caution and, an absence of flags DOES NOT mean the water is safe.
Depending on what end of the beach they start on, it can sometimes be a few hours before the flags are changed on this end of the beach.
